My Armor

Armor,
Hard, cold, metallic,
Impenetrable by words,
Protective against punches,
Armor, that I don’t have.

Battle field,
Hot, sweaty, claustrophobic,
Filled with homophobes, bullies,
And people who think they’re clever.
A battlefield that I’m in, without any armor.

Horse,
Tough, strong, dependable,
Trusting through all,
Helping to carry the burden.
A horse, that I don’t have.

Knight,
Valiant, kind, and forgiving,
Forgiving of faults,
Valiant and kind when no-one else is,
A knight, that I don’t have.

She protects form words and punches.
She helps me carry my burdens.
She is forgiving and rescues me.

My armor, my horse, my knight.
